Betty Ann Romero Martinez – age 55, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 14, 2002. Betty Ann is survived by her mother, Rogeria “Roger” Romero, daughter, Donna Martinez, two sons, Isaac Martinez, and Roger Martinez and his wife, Julia, all of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Martinez, Jonathon Martinez, Cassidy Martinez and Anthony Martinez, sister, Evelyn Duran and her husband, Larry of Albuquerque and sister-in-law Marcella Romero of Albuquerque. Betty Ann is also survived by three nieces, two nephews and two great-nephews. Betty Ann is preceded in death by her father, Carlos Romero, Jr., and brother, George Romero. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (3 blocks N. of Paseo del Norte). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Dr., NW with Father Frank Prieto, celebrant. Burial will follow at Vista Verde Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patsy Martinez, Mary Helen Apodaca, Margaret Moya, Dori Gurule, Karen Benning, Dawn Sanchez and Clydia Barrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Damian Caraveo, Mario Gonzalez, Bryant Humphrey, Martin Cervantez, Joey Sanchez and Samuel Martinez.
