Joyce Tamura Perry – beloved wife, mother, family member and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28 at the much too young age of 68. Joyce was born in Chicago, IL, on June 14 1947 to Susie and Hiroshi (Hero) Tamura.  The family moved to Albuquerque in 1953 and set up a nursery business, selling plants across New Mexico. Joyce graduated from University of New Mexico with a degree in education, and then married her high school sweetheart and soul mate, George F. (GF) Perry in 1969. Joyce was a dedicated, loving Albuquerque elementary school teacher for over 29 years, staying in touch with many of her students. Joyce and GF were blessed with two loving sons that brought her great pride and joy. Joyce is survived by her husband George F. Perry; sons, Seth and Aaron Perry; brothers, Richard Tamura, Henry Tamura (Jean) and Ron Tamura; sister, Ruth Ewert (Al) and many family members.  The family would like to thank Dr. Joy Lovette and the Hospice de la Luz team for their loving care. Joyce’s life celebration and service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Daniels Family Funeral Services-Wyoming Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to World Impact Inc., 3701 E. 13th, Wichita, KS 67208.
