Gary Whitlow – 59, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, and former resident of Jones Creek, TX, went to meet his savior on Friday, March 9, 2007. He precedes to heaven his wife of 38 years, Beryl Whitlow; daughter, Shana Lee Obermiller and husband, Scott, of Amarillo, TX, and son Reagan K. Whitlow and wife Deeanne; grandsons, Kale and Koby Whitlow, all of Cabot, AR; mother, Lorraine Whitlow of Brazoria, TX; sister, Marsha Hamilton and husband, David, of Brazoria, TX; aunt, Cherrill Whitlow of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law, Sam Blair and wife, Barbara, of Low Lunas, NM; and many nieces and nephews and adored extended family. Gary was a very active member of First United Methodist Church, serving as chairman of the First Cornerstone Inc. Endowment Funds; an active participant of Alpha Christian Outreach; and working with the Home Repair Team. Mr. Whitlow was a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas, working with the Dow Chemical Company as a senior associate mechanical engineering consultant. He also served on the board of directors of the Brazoria County Youth Homes for Disadvantaged Children. Gary loved supporting his children’s activities, including both Scouting and soccer. He had a head for evangelism, fishing in the Jemez and riding his Harley. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead SW, in Albuquerque, NM.
