Sheila B. Hoefer Chambers – 59, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Thursday, September 22, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Joel R. “Rudy” Chambers; daughters, Lucia Davis and husband, Richard and Anita Romero; step-daughter, Judy Leyba Romero; step-son, Able Romero; grandchildren; Dakota, Sara, Michael, Steven, Anthony, Ashley, Vanessa, Joseph, Daniel, Andrew, Valerie; twin sister, Shirley Morgan; sister; Ruby Ayala; brothers, John William Hoefer, Jr. and Thomas Hoefer; special nephew, Jake Morgan; as well as several other nieces and nephews; Clyde Thurman and family; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph A. Romero; her brother, James Hoefer; and her parents, John and Ruby Hoefer. Mrs. Chambers was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church. She had worked for many years at Furr’s Supermarket, Albertson’s, and Wal-Mart. Services will be held on Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Jim Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Michael Torres, Anthony Torres, Richard David, Jake Morgan, James Northcutt and Nathaniel Hoefer. Friends may visit French Mortuary University Blvd. Chapel, Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE (505) 843-6333.
